Vision
We believe connection saves lives. Our vision is to turn the strength of the communities we’re part of-our families, workplaces, and networks-into action, so more individuals and families facing blood cancer feel informed, supported, and never alone.
Many of us are lucky to belong to communities that show up for us every day. This campaign is about directing that same community power to where it’s urgently needed.
Founding Story
In 2008, my grandmother was diagnosed with cancer. We were scared, but we were surrounded by people who showed up-accompanying her to appointments, asking questions, translating medical information, and offering encouragement when it felt heavy. Today she is 98, and her remission meant she became a great grandmother to five great-grand kids. I’m deeply grateful, and I also know that level of support is not the norm. Many families face blood cancer with isolation and confusion. This campaign is an extension of the community instinct I’ve seen in tech, startups, and parent networks: to show up, share knowledge, and make a tangible difference.
Why This Matters
LLSC is the leading source of blood cancer information, personalized guidance, and clinical trial enrolment support in Canada. Last year, the team facilitated 5,000 connections for patients and families.
