Personalized support for patients, caregivers, and families
Why this campaign exists
We believe connection saves lives.
The idea is simple: many of us belong to communities that already know how to show up. We share advice, make introductions, offer time, talent, and help each other through uncertainty. This campaign takes that same instinct and turns it toward families facing blood cancer.
It is designed to be inclusive. You do not need to be a major donor to matter here. You can contribute an experience, buy one, give directly, share the campaign, or introduce someone who wants to help. The point is participation. The goal is impact.
We want this campaign to feel bigger than fundraising alone. It is also a story about what kind of community we want to be: generous, practical, compassionate, and willing to act before someone has to ask twice.
Who we are doing this for
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada supports people living with blood cancers across the country through trusted education, one-to-one support, peer connection, support groups, guidance around clinical trials, and practical programs that reduce barriers to care. This matters to us because a diagnosis is rarely just medical. It is emotional, logistical, financial, and deeply human.
LLSC is a leading Canadian source of blood cancer information and personalized support, helping patients and caregivers make sense of diagnoses, treatment options, and next steps.
Their work helps people access support services and understand clinical trial options, so families do not have to navigate a complex system alone.

Stories that inspired us

Olivia’s inspiration for this campaign is rooted in a deeply personal experience. When her grandmother was diagnosed with cancer in 2008, what stood out wasn’t the medical care she received-it was the strength of the people around her. Family and friends showed up consistently: translating complex information, asking hard questions, and offering steady presence through uncertain moments. That collective care made a profound difference. Today, her grandmother is 97, a great-grandmother, and a living reminder of what that support made possible.
Olivia has seen this same spirit of generosity ripple through every corner of her life. Whether navigating the fast-paced world of tech and startups, coordinating with fellow parents, or leaning on neighbourhood groups - she has witnessed the quiet magic that happens when people show up for one another. To Olivia, these connections are more than just social circles-they are proof that when we choose to give, we can change outcomes.
This campaign is her way of putting that belief into action-turning the strength of our communities into meaningful support for those facing blood cancer.

Lucas is the spirit behind this campaign. He carries a contagious positivity and playful energy. When he enters a room, everyone lights up.
Three years ago, he was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma at just five years old. On his first visit to the hospital, he thought it was a special hotel. That’s who he is-someone who meets the hardest moments with wonder. Along the way, he made unicorns his thing-bright, magical, a little bit unstoppable. It inspired us to call ourselves Visionary Unicorns.
He also gave us a word we didn’t know we needed: “cheersing.” It’s what he calls crying happy tears. And if you’ve been close to this journey, you know exactly what he means-those moments when someone shows up, when generosity catches you off guard, when hope returns in a way that makes your chest tighten and your eyes fill at the same time.
Lucas is in remission now. And his story is why this exists-not just to fund cures, but to create more of those moments. More showing up. More care. More of the small, unexpected ways people make things feel a little lighter. Because for someone, somewhere, it’s their first hospital visit-and what happens next, for them and their family, is shaped by the people who choose to be there.
